Packer – Brevard

This position responsible for packaging beer, ensuring it is ready for distribution.

$14 p/hr

1st – 6 am to 4 pm
2nd – 11 am to 9 pm
3rd – 8 pm – 6 am

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain all quality standards set for packaging at CANarchy facilities.

• Operate packaging equipment.

• Clean kegs and ensure keg stock is properly maintained.

• Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Understand and adhere to safety standards.

• Clean and maintain packaging equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Alert supervisor(s) or other management to potential quality or safety concerns.

• Use Personal Protection Equipment properly.

•Log information immediately and accurately. 

Physical & Mental Requirements:

Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift 50lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls. May be required to work weekend and overnight shifts.  Minimum Education: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Required    Age Requirement: 21 years or older

All shifts available

1st shift 8 am to 4 pm $13.50
2nd shift 4 pm to 12 am $13.75
3rd 12 am to 8 am $14.00

Overall Description:

Packers main focus is to ensure that the product is packed as required by customer requirements listed on the Production Report. Team work, multi-tasking, accuracy and a sense of urgency are required daily to ensure orders are produced and packed correctly.

Essential Functions:

Production Reports:

Must review and understand the production paperwork for every order.
Must understand and follow all line clearance and startup procedures.
Works with the operator to fill out the paperwork correctly
Teamwork–work with the operator to ensure product is running correctly throughout the production run

Communicates with operator appropriately when things aren’t right
Check package count throughout the shift to ensure correct count
Ensures correct number of packages are packed in each box
Weigh boxes when necessary to ensure consistency
Keeps track of the number of cases produced during the shift
Put labels on boxes correctly
Work areas must be cleaned and organized for the next shift
Load pallet correctly-according to requirements on Production Report

With the Operator, responsible for the quality of all material run, therefore inspect all the packs before putting them into a box.

Responsible for putting the correct count of packs into the box

Check the label information and box printer to make sure it is correct.

Quality checks when necessary


Keep machine/work area clean at all times to prevent accidents
When machine goes down or waiting, always clean and organize the work areas
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Skills required:

Reading and Writing
Required experience :

Packaging: 1 year
Manufacturing: 1 year
Must consent to pre-employment drug screen and background check.
