Production Worker

This position involves light packing and production work, and is located in the Edneyville area. We have openings on all shift, paying $9 p/hr.   • Meet maintenance goals in a manner which facilitates the priorities of the manufacturing schedule.

To be successful in Maintenance, an individual must possess the following:

AAS degree plus two years multi-skilled experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and controls or 5 years multi-skilled experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and controls preferably in the plastics industry.

Computer PC skills.

Ability to install motors and various drives.

Ability to use electrical instruments such as a volt/ohm meter. Working knowledge of high/low voltage electrical power distribution including understanding of transformer switchgear and its use.

Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers and gauges.

Understanding of complex AC/DC electrical control circuits including the ability to read electrical schematics for all types of machines and ability to wire machines to print.

Understanding of PLC/PC control including the ability to determine machine function through PLC program; ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems within any PLC controlled system; ability to read ladder logic and monitor PLC’s and the ability to read flow logic and monitor PC base systems.

Ability to read pneumatic schematics and to install/modify pneumatic plumbing and valving.

Ability to read hydraulic schematics and to install/modify hydraulic plumbing, accumulators and valving.

Possess an understanding of the importance and significance of producing a quality product in a safe manner.

Possess the ability to communicate well (both written and orally) with all employees in the organization.

Understanding of human interactions.

Dependability (very important that employees be at work on time each scheduled workday).

The physical demands include full manual dexterity compatible with work processes in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand for up to 8 hours, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, walk, talk and hear. Occasionally, the employee must lift or move up to 50 pounds and have the physical ability to stand, stoop, crawl, kneel and crouch. Vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, and to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
